Q:
The printer emits intermittent beeping sounds and the software reports a message "Have short of paper!" during printing. What should I do?
A:
Step 1: Check whether the materials have been installed
Step 2: Check whether the plug of the material sensor has been connected and installed
Check whether the plug of the material sensor at the back of the printer is connected, as shown in the figure:
(The positions of the sensors in different types of printers are slightly different.)
Some printers do not have intermediate connection plugs. The sensors are directly connected to the mainboard.
Check whether the wires of the sensor are damaged or disconnected, as shown in the figure:
Step 3: Check if the distance between the material and the sensor is too far or if the material is too transparent to be detected
The detection distance of the sensor is usually within the range of 1mm to 200mm.
If the material is fully transparent, the sensor cannot detect it. The sensor needs to be covered with opaque tape for the printer to print normally.
Step 4: Turn on and off the paper sensing function
If the above checks confirm that the sensor still cannot be detected, it might be abnormal and needs to be replaced.
If there are no new sensors to replace for the time being and the machine needs to be run first,
The paper measurement function can be temporarily turned off through software, as shown in the figure:
Do not check the box "Check paper when printing" and then save it.
